SE storms back against Stockaders

OLD FORT – Seneca East rallied from a two-set deficit Thursday to claim a 21-25, 14-25, 25-23, 25-20, 15-11 victory and its first Midland Athletic League win.

Kristin Bowerman powered the Tigers (5-8, 1-2 MAL) with 19 kills, six digs, five blocks and three aces.

Mykayla Ruffing (2 aces) chipped in 14 digs and 13 assists, Rachel Bauman tallied 13 assists, 12 digs and three kills and Cameil Ruffing had eight kills, five digs and three blocks.

Allison Adelsperger’s 36 assists and two digs keyed Old Fort (2-5, 1-2 MAL), while Samantha Hartsel (2 aces, 2 digs) and Sara Bell both pounded 12 kills.

Shelby Bilger added 19 digs for the Stockaders, Jordan Magers had 10 digs, seven kills and four aces, Krista Ward tallied 15 assists, seven digs, three kills and three aces, Peyton Miller chipped in nine digs and four aces, Morgan Kemenah hammered six kills and Sydney Clouse belted four kills.

Blue Jackets blast Mohawks

NEW RIEGEL – New Riegel breezed past St. Wendelin 25-11, 25-7, 25-10 Thursday to improve to 8-0 overall and 3-0 in the Midland Athletic League.

Morgan Noftz led the way with 17 assist and 10 digs for the Blue Jackets, and Lauren Ladd had 12 kills and six assists.

Brittany Gillig chipped in 13 digs, Alexis Kieffer lined four kills, Taylor Arbogast registered 10 digs and six kills and Kara Scherger slammed six kills.

Allie Rutter’s 12 digs led the Mohawks (2-5, 0-3), Sophia Volpe added six and Mikayla Gilliland turned in five.

Mohawk spikes Chieftains

SYCAMORE – Mohawk continued its roll through the Midland Athletic League Thursday, dispatching Hopewell-Loudon, 25-18, 25-19, 25-21.

Julie Adelsperger had 12 kills, 13 digs and two blocks for Mohawk (6-1 overall, 3-0 MAL). Sister Kasey Adelsperger had 11 kills and three blocks. Fellow triplet Clara Adelsperger had 32 assists and 12 digs. Mya Morris had seven kills and a pair of stuffs and Taylor McClain had 18 digs.

Shelbi Sauber’s 15 assists, 10 kills, eight aces and five digs keyed the Chieftains (3-8, 1-2).

Courtney Burns (2 assist blocks) registered 16 kills and 15 assists, Kassie Shaver turned in 10 digs and five kills, Kassie Welly came up with 10 digs, Brooklyn Arbogast (2 block assists) lined three kills and two solo blocks, and Michelle Welly, Lexi Feindel and Baleigh Searles all had five digs.

Blue Devils turn back Lakota

KANSAS – Carey dropped Lakota in three Thursday, winning a 25-20, 25-18, 25-13 Midland Athletic League match.

Shelby Seifert drilled 12 kills and two aces for the Blue Devils (6-2, 2-1 MAL) and Shelby Kin hammered 10 kills and three blocks.

Sydney Wentling handed out 26 assists, Adrienne Hackworth served two aces, Taylor Fletcher came up with 16 digs and Claire Allison and Logan Johnson both tallied 14 digs.

Senecas hammer NB

NORTH BALTIMORE – Calvert roared past Midland Athletic League foe North Baltimore 25-6, 25-0, 25-15 Thursday.

Haley Felter hammered 18 kills for the Senecas (6-2, 3-0 MAL), Megan Casale registered 25 assists and six aces and Kelsey Hendrix turned in 12 digs.

Ashley Perry served six aces and Lindsay Bickley and Amber Perry blasted six kills each.

Buckettes blast Riverdale

NEW WASHINGTON – Buckeye Central moved to 9-2 overall Thursday with a convincing 25-9, 25-15, 25-11 victory over Riverdale.

Jenna Delarber had 13 kills and two blocks for the Buckettes, who improved to 5-1 in the North Central Conference. Emily Weithman doled out 12 assists and had six kills. Brooke Karl had 13 digs and Aleesha Siesel had six. Kilee Kimmel had six aces and 11 assists.
