Rams vault above .500

UPPER SANDUSKY – Brandon Miller scored three goals and Aaron Pirc had two assists and a goal Tuesday as Upper Sandusky blasted Calvert 9-2 in North Central Ohio Soccer Association play.

All three of Miller’s goals came in the first half to help the Rams (5-4, 2-3 NCOSA) leap out 7-0. Pirc assisted on two his goals and scored another in the first half.

Taylor Emerick, Sam Duress and Brodie Johns also each scored in the first half, with Cameron Brady assisting on two of the goals.

Eli Kinley converted a Nick Hensel corner kick into a goal in the second half, and Clay Musgrave scored off a corner kick.

The Senecas (0-5, 0-3) got their goals in the second half off two Ammon Best unassisted plays.

Anthony Traxler stopped 21 of the 30 shots he faced for Calvert.

Musgrave and Scott Koehler each tallied two saves for the Rams, who allowed just six shots.
