GOLF: Today’s Retiree League was won by the team of Jim Ruess, Bob Teach, Marty Puffinberger and Lou Griselding with a score of seven under par. Prizes went to: John Powell (long putt on No.13), Ray Nutter (closest in two on No.16), and Jim Ruess (closest in three on No.17).

HOLE IN ONE: Tom Hagenmaier had a hole in one at Fostoria Country Club on the 125 yard par 3 No. 9 using a 5 iron. Witnesses were George Welly and Dick Seiler.

YOUTH BOWLING: A youth bowling league starts at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Heritage Lanes. For more information, call (419) 447-8854.

BOWLING: The results from the Wednesday Allen Eiry Center League has Harry Smith leading the Men’s High Game with 204 and the men’s high Series with 394. Sally VanBuskirk leads both the women’s high game with 183 and the high series with 309. The Allen Eiry Center Bowling League bowls each Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Heritage Family Center. JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL: The Mohawk seventh grade team fell to Fremont St. Joe 25-23, 25-13. Audrey Margraf had two assists for the Warriors. Madison Fredritz added two aces and Kaylee Ward had three kills.

n The Mohawk eighth grade team was defeated by Fremont St. Joe, 25-15, 25-18. Hannah Jordan led the Warriors’ efforts having three kills and three digs, along with Destini Ohler posting four kills.

n Calvert’s seventh grade defeated St. Wendelin in two sets, 25-23, 25-13.

nThe Calvert eighth grade team beat St. Wendelin 25-17, 25-22.

JUNIOR HIGH CROSS COUNTRY: Tiffin Middle School Cross Country competed at Sandusky in an NOL quad meet with Willard, Norwalk and Sandusky Tuesday. The boys team claimed the win placing first out of four teams with a score of 27 points. Jacob Anderson led the team winning the race in a time of 12:07. Other contributions came from: Jadon Eggert finished fifth, Kerrick Fanning sixth, Alden Bodak seventh,Will Reinhart eighth, Austin Harp ninth. The girls team placed second out of four teams with Violet Hoffman leading the way placing fourth. Other contributions came from: Tiffany Jaeck finishing fifth, Avery Keefe ninth, Trinity Knight 13th, Kendra Meyer 14th, Katie Halcomb 16th, Kyra Goddard 17th.

JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL: Tiffin lost to Norwalk 26-16. Todd Simonds threw a pass to Jakob Amory for a Tornadoes’ touchdown. Jared Akers also scored a TD. Braden Brown and Tony Szablewski both added two-point conversions.
