Prep Volleyball Roundup: Rams drop TC?in 3

UPPER SANDUSKY – Jessi Holly registered a double-double and Taylor Graboski nearly did so Thursday as Upper Sandusky claimed its first season-opener in five years, dominating Columbian 25-16, 25-12, 25-14.

Holly had 12 kills and 10 digs for the Rams and Graboski added 19 kills and eight digs.

Emma Smith tossed up 36 assists, Molly Owens slammed eight kills, Jenna Holly came up with 17 digs, Madison Bianchi had 15 digs and Kalene Johnson chipped in 10 digs.

Haley Sendelbach’s 14 kills led the Tornadoes (2-1).

Hailee Distel lined five kills and Alyssa Price had nine assists and three kills.

Bucks knock off River Valley

NEW WASHINGTON – Sierra Hanes and Jenna Delarber teamed for 16 kills and Emily Weithman and Kilee Kimmel combined for 33 assists Thursday in Buckeye Central’s 25-21, 25-19, 25-18 win over River Valley.

Hanes hammered nine kills and two blocks for the Bucks (1-1) and Delarber drilled seven kills and two blocks.

Weithman tossed up 19 assists and Kimmel handed out 14.

Brooke Karl and Hailey Hildenbrand both came up with seven digs for Buckeye Central.

H-L turns back Van Buren

BASCOM – Hopewell-Loudon beat Van Buren 21-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-19 to move to 1-1.

Courtney Burns (3 block assists, 2 solo blocks) led the Chieftains with 15 kills and 15 assists, Kassie Shaver (3 aces, 2 block assists) chipped in 15 kills and 10 digs and Kassie Welly had 15 assists, six aces and five digs.

Baleigh Searles and Michelle Welly both came up with 15 digs for H-L, Lexi Feindel slammed six aces and five kills and Brooklyn Arbogast (2 aces) belted five kills.
