Local College Roundup: TU golf sees season end

KENOSHA, Wis. – Tiffin University’s John Tidenberg finished tied for 36th, leading all Dragons at the Division II Super Regional, where the team’s season ended.

Tidenberg shot a three-day total of 223, a stroke better than teammate Tyler Maranville, who finished in a tie for 47th.

Tidenberg paced the Dragons Wednesday with a 74.

The Dragons finished tied for 15th (900) as a team. The top five squads advance to the finals in two weeks. Central Missouri won the tournament, shooting 859.

For TU, Jon Klein shot a 229, Corey Martinez shot a 232 and Luke Schlicher 232.

Pair of TU baseball players named all conference

Tiffin University starting pitcher Nick Rodesky and catcher KC Weber each made the All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams as honorable mentions.

Rodesky went 4-2 with three complete games and struck out 49 batters, finishing with a 2.75 earned run average. He led the Dragons in wins, ERA, innings pitched and strikeouts.

Weber, named honorable mention for the second-consecutive season, hit .301 with three homers and 26 RBIs.
