TC tennis climbs above .500
A sweep of doubles play powered Columbian to a 4-1 win over Madison. The victory allows Columbian to climb above the .500 mark with a 4-3 record.
In the four victories, TC’s netters dropped a total of eight games.
Mason McCool teamed with John Obringer to top Brad Boyer and Nick Barcroft 6-2, 6-0. Brandon Berry and Eline Widman had a clean sweep, defeating Dan Hale and Cody Boyce 6-0, 6-0.
In singles action, Braden Kuhn downed Aaron West 6-0, 6-1 and Austin Crabtree beat Ryan Boyer 6-2, 6-3.
Madison’s lone win came at No. 1 singles, where Bobby Reid beat Nick Gaietto 7-5, 6-4.
