Girls Basketball Roundup: Tigers dominate Big Red
PLYMOUTH – Ashton Daniel popped in 21 points and Seneca East enjoyed a great night at the foul line in Tuesday’s 68-47 dismantling of Plymouth.
Emily Depinet backed Daniel with 16 points and eight rebounds and Seina Adachi scored 12 points for the Tigers, who went 25 for 29 at the line.
Just one Plymouth player scored in double digits and only two of the Big Red finished with more than six points.
Trio leads the way for Warriors
SYCAMORE – Three Mohawk players combined for 44 points Tuesday in a 65-40 Midland Athletic League whipping of North Baltimore.
Sarah Runion led the assault with 18 points and five steals for the Warriors.
Julie Adelsperger chipped in 16 points and seven rebounds, and Lynsey Trusty added 10 points, six assists, six boards and three steals against the Tigers.
Blue Devils take out Arlington
ARLINGTON – Carey rallied past Arlington in the fourth quarter Tuesday for a 55-52 win.
The Blue Devils (17-4) trailed 27-21 at halftime and 41-37 after the third quarter before pulling out the win.
Hannah Tong scored 15 points for Carey, Logan Johnson had 12 points and 10 rebounds and Makenzie Wentling tossed in eight points.
Hannah Draper snared four steals against the Red Devils (16-6) and Sydney Wentling dished three assists.
