BOYS BASKETBALL: New Riegel’s home game against Colonel Crawford, scheduled for Monday, was postponed. The game will take place Feb. 11.

COLUMBIAN VOLLEYBALL: There will be a volleyball meeting for players and parents at the Tiffin Middle School at 6 p.m. Wednesday. It’s for all middle school players or anyone interested in the Columbian volleyball program. For more information, email Bill Bonham at

JUNIOR HIGH BOYS BASKETBALL: Sandusky’s eighth grade nipped Columbian 41-40 in the second round of the Northern Ohio League Tournament. Sandusky stayed undefeated on the season.

n Calvert’s eighth grade improved to 11-2 by knocking off Carey, 49-18 in the MAL tournament quarterfinals. Tanner Smith had 14 points for Calvert, while Connor Meyer added 13. Alex Keller had 10 rebounds to go with 14 points, while Corbin Kantner added seven boards.

n Mohawk’s seventh grade beat St. Wendelin in an MAL tournament game, 43-14. Mohawk’s Cole Miller had 12 points, Zach Binau had nine points and Ian Pursell had six points.
