VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL: Seneca East defeated Colonel Crawford on Saturday, 57-43. Ben Hahler led the Tigers with 16 points and 16 rebounds. Dylan Bordner added 15 points of his own along with three rebounds, followed by Nate Phillip,s who also had three rebounds and contributed 13 points in the win.

SECTIONAL GIRLS BASKETBALL: The Columbian girls basketball team will play Kenton at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fostoria High School in the Division II sectional semifinal.

TIFFIN MIDDLE SCHOOL: Tiffin Middle School sent six wrestlers to the OAC Junior High State District qualifier this weekend. The four wrestlers who made it to the OAC State were Drew Hoffman, Andrew Branson, Caleb Obather and Johnny Orozco.

n There will be a meeting for middle school athletes interested in running track, and their parents Thursday at 6 p.m. in the middle school cafetorium. Important information and schedules will be discussed. All athletes and parents are encouraged to attend.

SIXTH GRADE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT: There will be a boys and girls tournament held at St. Joe’s Activity Center March 9-10. It is limited to eight teams, guaranteed three games, and cost is $150. For more information, call Chuck Ritzler at (419) 934-9701 or (419) 448-9515.

JUNIOR HIGH BOYS BASKETBALL: Hopewell Loudon’s seventh grade won the MAL tournament on Saturday against North Baltimore, 36-19. Connor White led the Cheiftans with 14 points, along with Garrett White and Domenic Hedrick who each contributed six points. Zach Kreais and Marcus White each scored four points, while Logan St. Claire had two.

GOLF: Seneca Hills’ Monday Night Two Person Best Ball League invites all golfers to join some of the county’s best golfers in an evening of friendly competition.
