TC girls take tri

SHELBY – Columbian’s girls captured nine races Thursday to claim a triangular swim meet with Shelby and Calvert.

The Tornadoes beat Shelby’s girls 123-108, with Calvert scoring 47 points.

Shelby’s boys downed TC 171-78. Calvert’s boys had five points.

Columbian’s girls took the 200 medley relay (2:20.89), 200 free relay (2:05.72) and 400 free relay (4:33.87).

Lindsay Young, Natalie Howard, Sarah Hudacek and Rachel Hudacek swam the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay. Abby Burton, Hanna Musil, Lydia Vallery and Jordan Jarrett swam the 400 free relay.

Sarah Hudacek added wins in the 200 IM (2:38.5) and 400 free (5:08.18), and Rachel Hudacek took the 50 free (30.49) and 100 free (1:08.76).

Howard added a victory in the 100 fly (1:15.16) and Abby Burton claimed the 100 back (1:24.33).

Calvert’s Corrine Harris won the 200 free (2:20.2) and 100 breast (1:25.64).

Columbian’s Adam Young, Braden Kuhn, Nate Ramsdell and Isaac Lewis picked up the boys 200 medley relay (2:07.77).

Other TC boys wins came from Kuhn in the 100 free (1:03.18) and Young in the 400 free (5:19.81).

Anthony Traxler’s fourth in the 100 breast (2:06.74) paced Calvert.
