Kwiat scores Calvert’s only points against Mount Gilead

Calvert 220-pounder Dan Kwiat picked up Calvert’s lone win in a 42-6 loss to Mount Gilead.

Kwiat pinned the Indians’ Mike Mollohand in 3:09.

The Senecas contested four matches Tuesday. At 113 pounds, Mount Gilead’s Brock Mooreland pinned Cody Kuhn in 2:35, while at 120, the Indians’ Kyle Blanton pinned John Brodman in 1:14.

At 138 pounds, Calvert’s Phillip Boes was pinned by Alex Blanton in 3:09.

“It was good competition and the kids are making improvements,” said Calvert coach Keven Rinaman.

Double-winners can’t carry H-L

NORTH BALTIMORE – Four Hopewell-Loudon wrestlers won twice Tuesday as the Chieftains beat McComb 36-15 and fell 42-21 to North Baltimore.

Bryce Steinhauser gave H-L a pin and forfeit at 152 pounds, and 145-pounder Dakota Magers won by pin and injury default.

Alex Brock had a forfeit win at 126 pounds and a decision at 132 for the Chieftains, while Chet Swartzmiller picked up a forfeit at 113 and a decision at 120.

Stockaders gang up on Gibsonburg

OLD FORT – Cole Davidson led four Old Fort players in double-digit scoring Tuesday as the Stockaders beat Gibsonburg 81-68.

Davidson scored 21 points, Dalton Perry netted 18, Hunter Perry tossed in 15 and Brad Bannister ended with 13 for Old Fort (11-1).

Hunter Perry added seven rebounds, seven assists and five steals. Dalton Perry hauled in eight boards and Bannister chipped in seven.
