SOCCER: The Sycamore Soccer League is accepting registrations through July 15. Area players who are 5 years old by Aug. 1 through eighth grade are welcome to join the recreational league. GOLF: The FACT (Financial Assistance for Cancer Treatment) Scramble, sponsored by the Armes Family Cancer Care Center at Blanchard Valley Hospital, is July 28 at Loudon Meadows Golf Club in Fostoria. Cost is $50 per person or $200 per four-person team and includes 18 holes, cart, lunch and a chance at a $10,000 hole-in-one. * Chris Bentz and Kory Staib lead Mark Smith and Paul VanHorn 16-15 in the North Division while Dub Scherger and Doug Strausser are tied with Marc Strausser and Seth Marlowe atop the South Division with 13 1/2 points in the second third of the Baumann’s-Lofay Construction Two-Man Scramble League at Clinton Heights. Will Rennells and Jason Halbisen are third in the South Division with 13 points. Prizes went to Bentz (closest to pin No. 11), C.J. Kisabeth (long putt No. 13), Alex Scheiber (long drive No. 16) and Marc Strausser (closest in two No. 18). Skins went to the duos of Derek Lewis and Brad Scheiber (No. 10), Brandon Stephens and Ryan Monahan (No. 15), and Brent Hemminger and Dave Pitchford (No. 16).

* Bob Young and Tim Young lead Dan Kenner and Alex Kenner 118-117 in the Carmie’s League at Seneca Hills. Rich Terry shot a 36 for the low gross.
