GIRLS BASKETBALL: Carey thundered past Bucyrus 57-29 in Northern 10 Athletic Conference play. Hannah Lonsway topped the Blue Devils with 16 points and six rebounds, Avarie Stewart scored 10 points and Olivia Root, Bailey Tanner and Sadie Arend each netted seven points. Arend added four steals and Alaina Tiell and Ellison Roark both dished three assists.

GIRLS JV BASKETBALL: Lizzie Newland scored nine points, Toria Ingalls netted eight and Mia Ingalls tossed in five to lead Columbian past Clyde 34-28.

n Woodmore beat Hopewell-Loudon 43-26. Allie Milligan scored nine points for H-L and Lenna Fox had six.

n New Riegel beat Fremont St. Joe 16-14.

n Wynford beat Upper Sandusky 35-14.

n Seneca East outlasted Marion Pleasant 39-33. Kierstin Cook led the winners with 14 points, Amelia Boes scored 12 and Makenna Depinet had 10.

n Carey beat Bucyrus 31-12.

n Old Fort beat Sandusky St. Mary 30-18.

BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: New Riegel beat Gibsonburg 32-23. Brody Hohman scored 13 points for the Blue Jackets and Reese Gosche netted eight.

n Tiffin’s seventh grade defeated Bellevue 40-30, thanks to 12 points each from Brayden Roggow and Bryce Roggow.

n Bellevue’s eighth grade beat Tiffin 46-39. Logan Beaston scored 14 points for Tiffin and Zak Siebenaller had 10.

GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Fostoria’s seventh grade beat Genoa 30-20, getting 16 points from Destiny Robinson and five from Desiree McBeth-Settles.

n Jenna Johnson tallied 16 points to lead Fostoria’s eighth grade past Genoa 39-20.

n Olivia Shank tallied 11 points and seven rebounds to lead New Riegel’s seventh grade past Gibsonburg 26-18. Katie Dryfuse added eight points and four boards, Kenzy Shaferly scored four points and Maddie Faeth had two points and two rebounds.

* New Riegel upended Gibsonburg’s eighth grade 32-26, thanks to Ella Wank’s 17 points and seven rebounds. Katelyn Arbogast backed her with six points and eight boards for the Blue Jackets and Mileah Jones and Lauren Gabel each scored four points.
