VOLLEYBALL OFFICIATING CLASSES: Classes are July 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, 31 and Aug. 5 and 7 at Clyde Middle School. Cost is $125, which includes the cost of the officiating license for the year. The instructor is Mary Methner, who can be reached at mary_methner@hotmail.com or (419) 680-3309.

GOLF: Tim Cessna leads the Phat Cakes Golf League with 118 points going into the final week of the first half on Tuesday. Mike Gibson is in second with 114 points. Skins winners from Week 8 were Len Goshe, Jason Galitza and Cessna. Prize holes winners were Ray Nutter (long putt No. 15), Ken Ziebold (long drive No. 18), Galitza (proximity shot No. 12) and Cessna (pin shots on No. 11 and No. 14). The second half of the league will start July 16.

n The Slate Real Estate Art Graham Adult Child Open will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at Seneca Hills. The fee is $55 per team, which includes greens fee, cart, gift, trophies, drink tickets and BBQ. Register by 3:30 p.m.

n Mark Smith and Paul VanHorn lead the North Division of the Baumann’s-Lofay Construction Two-Man Scramble at Clinton Heights with 27 ½ points. Chris Bentz and Kory Staib are second with 26 ½. In the South Division, Nub Scherger and Doug Strausser lead with 27 ½ points, while Will Rennells and Jason Halbeisen are second (23 ½). Prize holes went to Rennells (closest in two No. 10), Jim Reinhart (long putt No. 12) and Mark Griffin (closest in three No. 17). Tony Scherger and Mike Nedolast (No. 11) and Rick Steiner and Reinhart (No. 16) both won skins.

SLOW PITCH: Sycamore Slow Pitch men’s league is forming. It starts in mid-July with the first six teams accepted. Old Timer’s Softball League starts in late-August with the first six teams accepted. Call Fuzz Bogard at (419) 927-5685 and leave a message.

SOFTBALL: The 39th annual Oak Harbor All-Nighter Tournament is July 12-13. Cost is $160 per team and $12 per umpire. Call Mike Williamson (419) 603-7687 for entry.

OHSAA MEETING: Upper Sandusky High School will have its fall sports parent meeting July 22 at 7 p.m. in the gym. Parents of all fall sports athletes are expected to attend. There will be a general meeting beginning at 7 p.m. Followed by individual sport meetings.

n Old Fort will hold its mandatory OHSAA fall sports meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the gym. All parents and athletes are expected to attend. They will meet with the respective coach after the main meeting.

BASKETBALL CAMP: The Heidelberg men’s basketball team has several dates for camps this summer. They are July 16-19 (boys grades 6-9), which costs $125; July 22-23 (boys and girls Pre K-1), which costs $30; and July 24-26 (boys 2-5), which costs $100.
