n The Tiffin Area Babe Ruth League still has openings in the 13-16 year old Junior Division for players that did not make the primary draft. Players must not turn 17 before May 1. For more information, call Fred McDole at (419) 455-4490 or Scott McDole at (419) 618-1972 after 6 p.m.

JV SOFTBALL: Hannah Fought and Alexis Smith each singled twice and Gracie Parkins struck out 10 to lead Hopewell-Loudon’s 11-1 win against Fremont Ross.

JV TENNIS: Columbian’s Avery Durham and Bryce Burns, Evan Messer and Dustin Hawk, Tyler Yandura and Landin Daum and Robbie Lindhorst and Alaska Williams all won a match against Perkins Monday.

JV BASEBALL: Columbian topped Norwalk 7-5. Cole Jordan went 2 for 2 with an RBI for TC, while Bryan Edler was 2 for 4 with an RBI, Mikey McDole added a single and an RBI and Drew Vasko had a hit. Dawsone Daily picked up the win on the hill in 2 1/3 innings of relief. He didn’t allow a hit.

YOUTH BASKETBALL: The fifth annual Hopewell-Loudon basketball camp is May 29-31 at the high school in both gyms. The camps is for boys grades 1-7, running 8:30-11:30 a.m. Cost is $30 for grades 1-7. Registration forms are available at school, via coaches or on the school basketball website. Return the registration and payment by Monday if possible to guarantee camp orders (T-shirt/etc.) are on time. Late registrations will be accepted on site, but camp gifts may be late or unavailable. Coach Roger Jury and members of the Chieftain basketball staff will conduct the camp. Present players and alumni may be available to assist. Athletes in upper grades will spend a portion of the camp practicing team concepts and fundamentals for summer league, possible shoot-outs, team camps, etc.

n The Next Level Basketball 419 Skills Camp is July 9-11 at 9-11 a.m. The camp is for boys and girls in grades 4-12 and occurs at Buckeye Central High School. Special guest speakers will be Aaron Craft and Dallas Lauderdale. Visit https://www.nextlevelbasketball419.com/ for more information.

GOLF: The team of Skip Halcomb, Monte Scott, Paul E. Fey, Dutch Edeburn and Dick Hull shot 5 over to win Monday’s Retirees League at Seneca Hills. Prize winners were Dale Wisebaker (long putt No. 17), Don Kin (closest to pin No. 18) and Dave Combs, Kin and Halcomb all tied for the low gross with a 37.
