JV TENNIS: Columbian’s Brian Siesel and Avery Durham, Bryce Burns and Evan Messer and Tyler Yandura and Landin Daum all won a match against Bellevue Tuesday.

YOUTH BASKETBALL: The fifth annual Hopewell-Loudon basketball camp will be May 29-31 at the high school in both gyms. Grades 1-7 run 8:30-11:30 a.m. and grades 8-12 run 11:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Cost is $30 for grades 1-7. Return the registration and payment by either May 3 or by May 6 if possible to guarantee camp orders (T-shirt/etc.) are on time. Late registrations will be accepted on site, but camp gifts may be late or unavailable. Coach Roger Jury and members of the Chieftain basketball staff will conduct the camp. Present players and alumni may be available to assist. Athletes in upper grades will spend a portion of the camp practicing team concepts and fundamentals for summer league, possible shoot-outs, team camps, etc.

n The Next Level Basketball 419 Skills Camp is for July 9-11 at 9-11 a.m. The camp is for boys and girls in grades 4-12 and it’s at Buckeye Central High School. Special guest speakers will be Aaron Craft and Dallas Lauderdale. Visit https://www.nextlevelbasketball419.com/ for more information.

GOLF: The 2019 Clinton Heights Baumann Group Monday Night Ladies Two-Person Scramble League begins May 20, with 4-6 p.m. tee times. The Fun Night/Free practice is May 13. The organizational meeting is May 6 at 6 p.m. at Clinton Heights. Sign up at the clubhouse or call (419) 447-8863.

n The 2019 Par Tee League, sponsored by Phat Cakes, starts May 7 at Clinton Heights. The league lasts 18 weeks and will be played in three seasons. Players can tee off between 4-6 p.m. This is a league with individual play with handicap. League players will collect points for each week based on how they play each of the nine holes each week. Points are similar to the Stableford Scoring System. Sign up at Clinton Heights and pick up rules information and a schedule. Cost is $25. n Starting Monday the Seneca Hills Retirees League will tee of at 9 a.m. with sign-in by 8:30 a.m.

n Bump’s Tuesday scramble outing was halted by weather after 12 holes at Loudon Meadows. Rain checks will be issued to all eligible players (non members) at next week’s outing, which will be at Green Hills in Clyde, beginning at 10 a.m. Players should arrive no later than 9:40 for registration.
