BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Old Fort beat Seneca East 72-38. Cole Bigelow’s 19 points led the victors, Myles Miller added 14, Landen Barr netted 12 and Ryan Miller tossed in 11. Elijah Riggs scored eight points for Seneca East and Skylar Walker had six.

n Carey beat Fostoria 54-46.

n Luke Ritzler tossed in 14 points and Nolan Beeker added 10 for Calvert in a 45-35 win over Riverdale. Saac Holland had 15 and Luke Morris 14 for the Falcons.

DARTBALL: Wilber Jameson beat out Ed Waugaman .533-.524 in the Tiffin City Church League Tournament. John Rupp had a .476, followed by Mark Weiker (.417), Scott Blue (.400) and Jenny Warner (.368).

RACING: The Attica Fremont Championship Series will have a separate point fund for the 18 410 sprint races (9 events each at both Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway) and the 14 305 sprint events (7 each at Attica and Fremont) this year. There will also be shows throughout the season with bigger purses — be eight AFCS 410 events each paying $4,000 to win with back-to-back nights (Fridays at Attica and Saturdays at Fremont). Also, thanks to race fan Jack Fortney, the “hard charger” in both the 410 and 305 AFCS features will receive Jack’s All Out Award. The driver advancing the most position from their original start to the finish of the A-main in the AFCS 410 feature will earn $100 and the driver accomplishing the same in the AFCS 305 feature will earn $50. The AFCS 305 teams will also see six shows paying $1,000 to win in 2019.

MEN’S BASKETBALL: Mount Union beat Heidelberg 77-66 in the quarterfinals of the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament. Dylan Woods led the Student Princes (8-18) in the loss with 19 points, Myron Prewitt added 17 points and 13 rebounds and Josh Dixon tossed in 15 points.
