BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Upper Sandusky beat Seneca East 48-29. Curtis Smith tossed in 13 points for the Rams, Trent Beamer netted 12, Gavin Carey added nine and Jaidyn Thiel tossed in eight. The Tigers got seven points from Pheinix Eitle and six each from Turner Bridgford and Andrew Kalb

n Wynford held off Mohawk 41-38. Trey Combs scored 13 points for Mohawk.

n Columbian defeated Bellevue, 44-34.

n Cole Bigelow scored 21 points while Ryan Miller and Myles Miller were adding 11 and 10, respectively for Old Fort in a 62-38 win over Lakota. Justin Miller had nine for the Raiders.

n Hopewell-Loudon fell 37-32 to Leipsic. Caleb Simonis lead the Chieftains in the loss with 11 points and Dan Lommerse added 10.

n Calvert topped New Riegel 48-42. Noaln Beeker led Calvert with 15 points, while Hayden Hohman had 14 for the Blue Jackets.

PREP WRESTLING: Caleb Hinton pinned both of his 170-pound foes and three teammates also each won twice Thursday to help Hopewell-Loudon split a pair of matches, falling 60-19 to Oregon Clay and beating Fremont St. Joe 45-12. Hinton pinned Clay’s Justin Tolles (1:29) and St. Joe’s Xavier Ried (5:31). Against Clay, H-L’s Isaac Gaietto edged T.J. Lajti 15-13 at 152 pounds, Levi Kuhn pinned 195-pounder Jake Cousino (:28) and 113-pounder Blake Hoover scored an 8-0 major decision against Orlo Horsley. Gaietto, Kuhn and Hoover earned forfeit wins against St. Joe. Logan Holcomb added a 7-0 win at 132 pounds for H-L against St. Joe’s Tony Baez. Forfeit wins against St. Joe came from Cooper Davidson (138), Nicardo Garcia (145) and Xavier Baker (182).
