GIRLS JV BASKETBALL: Seneca East beat Bucyrus 20-4 in a two-quarter contest.

* Carey beat Mohawk 31-14.

BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Hopewell-Loudon defeated Van Buren 77-45. Caleb Simonis lead the Chieftains with 19 points while Carter Ritchey and Nate Cook both added 12.

GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Fostoria’s seventh grade beat Otsego 33-18, getting 14 points from Madisyn De La Rosa and 12 from Destiny Robinson. The win moved the Redmen to 11-1 in the Northern Buckeye Conference.

* Fostoria beat Otsego’s eighth grade 27-15. Jenna Johnson scored six points for Fostoria.

BOYS FRESHMAN BASKETBALL: Hopewell-Loudon beat Van Buren 65-22 as Tyler Fedele had 16 points, while Ashton Bour added 12 for the Chieftains.

NEW RIEGEL: The girls basketball game against St. Mary has been postponed until Feb. 5 at 5:30 p.m.

* The girls game against Old Fort scheduled for last Saturday will be made up Thursday at 6 p.m.
