RESULTS POLICY: Coaches turning in results for any sport are reminded to use full names for all athletes. Handwriting must be legible. Photos of scorebooks must be in focus and well lit. Records should be included. Results for high school and college events must be turned in that day by 9:30 p.m. All other events must be turned in by 8 p.m. Turn in results via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, fax at (419) 447-3274, telephone at (419) 448-3250 or in the drop box by the paper’s front door at 320 Nelson St. Results must be turned in the day of the event. Depending on time constraints, games and events turned in which do not include full names or are turned in late may not have recaps written about them. Results which are unreadable will not be included in the paper.
GIRLS JV BASKETBALL: Mohawk beat Marion Elgin 33-22.
BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Landen Barr scored 16 points to fuel Old Fort’s 68-34 win against Lakota. Colin Nutter added 14 points for the Raiders and Casey Clouse and Myles Miller each had 11.
n Bellevue topped Columbian 32-29.
n Calvert beat New Riegel 48-20. Nolan Beeker had 12 points for the Senecas and Will Hershman had seven for NR.
BOYS FRESHMAN BASKETBALL: Hopewell-Loudon edged Cory-Rawson 29-27, thanks to Ashton Bour’s 16 points and Ryan Cook’s eight.
BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Tiffin’s seventh grade beat Hopewell-Loudon 56-31. Logan Beaston powered Tiffin with 27 points and Zak Siebenaller netted nine. Evan Kreais topped H-L with 15 points and Blake Berrier and Carter Yarbrough each had four
n Tiffin’s eighth grade beat Hopewell-Loudon 56-39, despite the Chieftains getting 17 points from Hayden Welly and 11 more from George Beucler. Bryce Roggow tallied 18 points for Tiffin and Brayden Roggow chipped in nine.
n Old Fort defeated Lakota 45-17 in seventh grade play. Daniel Steyer scored 12 points for Old Fort and Konnor Ernsberger had nine.
n Elijah Englehart scored 14 points and Isaac Snyder added 13 to key Old Fort’s 37-18 eighth grade win against Lakota.
n Calvert doubled up New Riegel’s seventh grade 28-14. Caden Otterbacher led Calvert with eight points and Harry Shulz, Jacob Rombach, Taleb Al-Zakwani and Lucas Recker each added six. Reese Gosche scored eight points for New Riegel.
n Nick Palm tossed in 12 points and Madison Johnson had 10 to lead Calvert’s eighth grade past New Riegel 28-19. Drew Theis scored four points for New Riegel.
GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Fostoria’s seventh grade beat Lake 35-24. Destiny Robinson, Emma Gregg and Madisyn De La Rose combined for all of the Redmen’s points.
n Fostoria’s eighth grade held off Lake 38-33. Jenna Johnson scored 15 points for Fostoria and Alyssa Durst added 11.
n New Riegel’s seventh grade doubled up Calvert 24-12. Olivia Schalk led the winners with 13 points and eight rebounds, Alayna Schalk scored four points and Blair Depinet had three points and five reobunds.
n Calvert’s eighth grade beat New Riegel 20-13. Katelyn Arbogast topped New Riegel with four points and four steals, Candace Bouillon scored four points and Mileah Jones snared six rebounds.
n Hopewell-Loudon’s seventh grade beat Tiffin 40-12. Carley Coffman paced H-L with 29 points.
n Tiffin’s eighth grade beat Hopewell-Loudon 34-30.
n Old Fort’s seventh grade beat Lakota 29-23. Alexis Ward had 11 points for Old Fort and Macie Miller added eight.
