BOWLING: Ed Wise had the high men’s score with a 181, while Dave Everhart recorded the high men’s series with a 304 in the Allen Eiry Center League Wednesday. Robin Brownwell had the high women’s score (179) and series (286).

n The team of Bob Barchus, Dick Best, Ken Zeop, Dick Heyman and Ernie Price shot 5 under to win Thursday’s Retirees League at Seneca Hills. Prize winners were Paul E. Fey (long putt No. 7) and Best (closest to pin No. 6).

GIRLS SOCCER: Upper Sandusky plays Galion in its “Kick for the Cure” match Saturday. The festivities begin at 1:30 p.m. with the match taking place at 2 p.m. Food and raffle items, contests and t-shirts will be available.

JV VOLLEYBALL: Kennedy Sherman slammed five kills and Haileigh Kutscher drilled three to key Columbian’s 25-9, 25-23 win against Sandusky. Lucy Smothers added 21 digs for the Tornadoes.

n Seneca East topped Bucyrus 25-23, 25-16. Gwen Johnson tallied four kills, seven digs and three aces for SE, while Lexi Cheek had seven digs and a pair of aces.

n Fostoria beat Genoa 20-25, 25-14, 25-19.

n Ridgedale beat Upper Sandusky 25-20, 25-16.

n Carey took the first game 25-11, but Mohawk bounced back with wins of 25-17 and 25-18 after that to get the victory. Catherine Klopp smacked five kills and four blocks for Mohawk, Emma Thiery had eight digs and three kills and Marah Gillig added eight digs, three kills, three aces and three assists.

n Calvert beat Lakota 25-14, 25-10, getting nine assists and three aces from Erin Wagner. Mara Mangiola tallied seven digs, A.J. Hemminger had six digs, Maddie Schumacher slammed five kills, Leah Renninger belted four aces and three kills and Kate Laney lined three kills.

n Old Fort beat New Riegel 25-12, 25-15. Emily Hull (2 aces) led Old Fort with 13 assists and seven digs, Jordan Reineck had 11 digs and four aces, Kara Davidson lined five kills, Emily Blankenship had five digs and Riley Lehner (2 aces) registered five digs and four kills.

FRESHMAN VOLLEYBALL: Columbian beat Sandusky 25-7, 25-13. Logan Lewis led the winners with four aces and 15 digs and Katie Hardina chipped in three aces and nine digs.

n Mohawk beat Carey 28-26, 25-14. Emma Thiery drilled eight kills for Mohawk and Lauren Moyer and Kendyll Gurney each came up with eight digs.

n Old Fort beat New Riegel 25-19, 25-19 on the strength of Madison Nesselhaulf’s 11 digs and eight kills. Katie Reiter added nine digs, Emily Blankenship (2 kills) had seven digs, Jillian Stover smacked six kills and Jaislyn Woodall slammed four kills.

JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL: Mohawk’s seventh grade defeated Colonel Crawford, 25-8, 26-24 over Colonel Crawford. Isabella Meyer had 10 serves.

n Colonel Crawford topped Mohawk’s eighth grade 20-25, 25-21, 25-16. Elizabeth Clouse had seven serves for the Warriors.

n Calvert’s eighth grade beat Lakota 25-15, 25-3. For Calvert, Hannah Miller collected nine aces, four kills and three digs, while Lydia Ardner added four aces and five assists, Bradleigh Meier and Kendal Krzyzak each had two aces and two kills. Nohema Galvan had three kills and Ashlynn Deats finished with three assists.

n Calvert’s seventh grade dominated Lakota 25-3, 25-8 as Morgan Elchert served 10 aces for the Senecas. Cecilia Palm added four aces and five assists, while Lydia Wellman had two aces, Brooklyn Brown slammed three kills and Allison Porter and Camryn Shook both had a pair of kills.

n Old Fort’s eighth grade defeated New Riegel 25-11, 25-13. Molly Kupka recorded eight aces for OF, while Cameran Cleveland added four kills and Brooke Withrow slammed six kills.

n Old Fort’s seventh grade beat New Riegel 21-25, 25-22, 25-22. Madi Blankenship had four aces and six kills, while Addyson Gillmore tallied three aces and eight kills for the Stockaders.
