PREP VOLLEYBALL: Perkins upended Columbian 25-16, 31-29, 25-13 in Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division play. Emily Davis (2 aces, 2 blocks) keyed the Tornadoes (6-2, 2-1 SBC) in the loss with 14 kills and 12 digs, Riley Roggow had 10 kills and six digs and Addison Conti tallied 11 digs and eight kills.

PREP GOLF: Seneca East handled Elmwood 183-210 at Birch Run Wednesday. Turner Bridgford led the Tigers with a 40, while Jake Forehand added a 44, Blake Miller had a 48 and Andrew Kalb finished with a 52. Jon Margraf (53) and Andy Bauman (54) also played for the Tigers. For Elmwood, it was led by Carter Taft’s 47. It also got a 50 from Mason Green, a 53 from Austin Minich and a 60 by Kobe Shank. The Tigers improved to 5-2.

PREP SOCCER: Liberty-Benton, ranked fourth in the state, blanked Upper Sandusky 8-0 in girls soccer. Cortni Brown stopped nine shots for the Rams (3-5, 0-2 North Central Soccer Association) in the loss.

JV SOCCER: Jack Orians scored the game’s lone goal to push Upper Sandusky past Liberty-Benton.

JV BOYS GOLF: Perkins downed Columbian 186-217 at Mohawk Country Club. For TC, Collin Anway fired a 48, while both Bryan Edler and Zavier Sherman shot a 55 and Jimmy Skidmore finished with a 59.

n Old Fort topped Fremont Ross 222-229 at Fremont Country Club. Casey Clouse led OF with a 53, while Brandon Swartz and Alec King shot twin 55s and Dylan Baker recorded a 59.

GOLF: Dutch Edeburn, Ken Zeop, Brian Krauss and Dick Rochester tied the tam of Rufus Tyree, Jim Heyman, Steve Schafer and Gene Sherer at 4 under to win Thursday’s Retirees League at Seneca Hills. Prize winners were Paul E. Fey (closest to pin No. 18) and Rochester (long putt No. 11).

n In the AMVETS League at Seneca Hills playoffs, Jim and Brian Miccichi topped Steve Shafer and Dale Wisebaker 24 1/2-15 1/2 for the 2018 league title.

JV VOLLEYBALL: Upper Sandusky beat Seneca East 25-14, 25-5.

n Calvert beat Gibsonburg 25-11, 25-5, getting 14 assists from Erin Wagner and three aces each from Olivia Webb, Ashlee Shiley and A.J. Hemminger. Leah Renninger drilled seven kills, Kate Laney smacked three kills, Hemminger added five digs and Webb turned in four digs.

n Marah Gillig had 10 kills, 10 digs and seven assists to help Mohawk beat Wynford 25-18, 25-22. Kennedy Cleveland chipped in 11 assists, Ella Hoover had 11 digs, Lilly Hammer registered seven digs and Catherine Klopp drilled five kills.

n Lake beat Fostoria 25-7, 25-7.

n Clyde beat Sandusky 25-12, 25-17.

n Old Fort dropped Fremont St. Joe 25-10, 25-9 behind five kills each from Christa Kuhn and Kara Davidson. Emily Hull added 16 assists, four aces and three kills, Emily Blankenship (2 aces) had four digs and Jordan Reineck (2 digs) served three aces.

n Perkins beat Columbian 25-18, 18-25, 25-19. Kennedy Sherman had four kills and six assists for TC and Brooke Boes lined two blocks.

n Lakota beat Danbury 25-3, 25-22.

FRESHMAN VOLLEYBALL: Kendyll Gurney and Tori Phillips each slammed five aces to push Mohawk past Wynford 25-22, 25-9. Gurney also had five digs.

n Clyde beat Sandusky 25-21, 25-15.

n Old Fort upended Carey 19-25, 25-14, 25-19. Alyssa Hoerig had 12 digs and eight assists for Old Fort, Breanna Hoerig came up with 10 digs, Jillian Stover had nine digs and four aces, Katie Reiter turned in seven digs and six kills and Madison Nesselhauf had six digs and four kills.

JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL: Seneca East’s eighth grade topped Upper Sandusky 25-22, 25-21 as Hillary Bogner had four aces and eight kills for SE, while Jaelyn Barnwell added four aces and a pair of kills.

n Seneca East’s seventh grade downed Upper Sandusky 25-20, 25-18. Mia Holmes had two aces and two assists for the Tigers, while Abbi Drosky ended with two aces and a pair of kills.

n Old Fort’s seventh beat Fremont St. Joe 25-15, 11-25, 25-18. Audra Miller served six aces and Madilyn Blankenship served three aces for the Stockaders.

n St. Joe’s eighth grade topped Old Fort 25-12, 25-18. For Old Fort, Brooke Withrow made seven digs, while Kennedy Guth made four.

n Calvert’s eighth grade topped Lakota 25-13, 25-16. Hannah Miller led Calvert with eight aces, four kills and three digs, while Lydia Ardner added two aces and five assists, Bradleigh Meier had two aces, four kills, four digs and four blocks, Cassandra Immele made four digs and Kendal Krzyzak smacked a pair of kills.

n Calvert’s seventh grade also defeated Lakota 25-6, 25-12. For Calvert, Allison Porter served 10 aces and dished four assists, while Olivia Miller had three aces and three assists, Cecilia Palm smashed three kills and Camryn Shook had two kills.

n Carey OLC beat New Riegel’s seventh grade 25-17, 20-25, 25-21. Katie Dryfuse (2 kills) gave New Riegel seven aces and four digs, Olivia Schalk (2 blocks) had eight digs and Lizz Walter tallied five assists and four aces.

n New Riegel’s eighth grade beat Carey OLC 25-16, 25-12 on the strength of nine aces by Ella Wank (2 digs). Jordyn Dillon added five digs and four kills, Mileah Jones had four kills and four digs and Kaselyn Arbogast had four aces and three assists.
