n The team of Omar Tanner, Dave Fraley, John Englehart and Jim Banks beat the team of Whitey Florence, Dave Clouse, Bruce Hickle and Darl Elchert on the fourth handicap hole at Sycamore Springs Tuesday. Both teams shot 9 under. The only skin was won by Tanner’s team. Next week’s outing occurs at Fostoria Country Club, beginning at 10 a.m. Drawing for the teams begins at 9:45 a.m.

n First place for the Seneca Hills Tuesday Morning Ladies League Golf Scramble was Lou Ann Newlove, Carol Shook, Linda Lawrence and Linda Phares. Second was Barb Kuhn, Deb Gerschutz, Deb Welter and Georgene Miccichi and the third team was Carla Siebenaller, Paulette Witsman, Paula Wise and Marge Kirian. Open golf continues Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.

PREP SOCCER: Coby Miller had a hat trick and Tyler Hart scored twice to key Riverdale’s 10-1 win against Upper Sandusky. Ryder Egbert, Tom Miller, Dylan Hunt, Logan Frey and Drew Frey each added a goal for the Falcons (2-0-1). Jackson Clark and Egbert each had an assist, and Ethan Shane stopped three shots for Riverdale. Gabe Baker scored for the Rams (1-4), and Anson Hill stopped 21 shots.

PREP VOLLEYBALL: Old Fort beat Sandusky St. Mary 26-28, 25-12, 25-14, 25-16. Madison Guth led the winners with 45 assists, six digs and three kills, Ashlyn Magers had 25 digs and four aces and Jenna Clouse (2 aces) tallied 20 kills, nine digs and four blocks. Savannah McCoy added 18 digs, seven kills and four aces, Morgan Miller (2 blocks) had 14 digs and six kills, Grace Wasserman (2 blocks) lined nine kills, Chloe Wilkinson (2 blocks) registered six digs and four kills, Jordan Reineck came up with five digs and MarcQue Harris had three digs.

n Gibsonburg beat Lakota 27-25, 25-22, 25-21. Madison King had 11 digs and 10 kills for Lakota, Grace Swaisgood registered 20 digs, Katleyn Klotz added 13 digs and eight assists, Qiara Palos (2 aces) provided 14 digs, nine digs and three kills, Addisyn Marshall (2 kills) and Anna Burbaker (2 assists) each had six digs, Kendra McDole provided five kills and five digs and Mariah Woodruff ended with four digs.

JV SOCCER: Riverdale beat Upper Sandusky 6-1. Kamryn Webb scored for the Rams in the loss.

JV TENNIS: Clyde’s McKenzi Woessner, Alyssa Eisenhower, Alyssa Lauer, Gabby Castillo, Averie Fritz, Abbey Marcha, Klara Miller, Halle Elder, Katrice Hackenburg and Niki Hagemeyer won matches against Sandusky.

JV VOLLEYBALL: Buckeye Central beat Seneca East 25-11, 25-10.

n Fostoria beat Woodmore 25-17, 25-15.

n Norwalk beat Columbian 25-14, 25-15. Jenna Bonnell belted five kills for Columbian.

n Mohawk turned back Colonel Crawford 25-21, 24-26, 25-20. Marah Gillig had 19 digs and seven kills for the Warriors, Ella Hoover came up with 15 digs, Kennedy Cleveland added eight assists and Catherine Klopp lined five blocks.

n Carey beat Upper Sandusky 25-18, 25-17.

n Calvert beat Danbury 25-10, 25-15, getting 14 assists and three digs from Erin Wagner. Kate Lacey slammed seven aces, Maddie Schumacher belted seven kills, Leah Renninger lined six kills, Mara Mangiola served four aces and A.J. Hemminger had three digs.

n New Riegel upended Fremont St. Joe 25-10, 21-25, 25-13. Kayleigh Lininger keyed the Blue Jackets with 14 assists, seven aces and four digs, Olivia Shaferly lined six kills and Jenna Gabel had four kills and four digs.

n Old Fort beat Sandusky St. Mary 25-10, 25-20. Emily Hall (2 aces) handed out 15 assists for Old Fort, Christie Kuhn belted six kills, Madison Nesselhauf lined four kills, Jordan Reineck had four digs and Kara Davidson and Riley Lehner both belted three kills and two aces.

n Lakota beat Gibsonburg 25-18, 23-25, 25-23.

FRESHMAN VOLLEYBALL: Columbian beat Norwalk 26-24, 25-18 on the strength of Katie Hardena’s nine aces.

n Calvert beat Northwood 25-7, 25-9. Kesley Shiley’s 14 assists, nine aces and two solo blocks led thw winners. Caitlyn Borer belted five aces and three kills, Frances Webb lined five kills, Madison Widman had four aces and three digs and Mara Mangiola added two digs.

SKILLS CAMP/FLAG FOOTBALL: Registration for Columbian’s football skills camp/flag football for second through sixth grade Tiffin City Schools students is 5:30-6 p.m. Tuesday behind the visitors’ side at Frost-Kalnow Stadium. Players may also register the week of Sept. 4. Skills clinic/flag games run 6-7 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning Tuesday and ending Oct. 9. Cost is $20 and includes a T-shirt.
