RESULTS POLICY: Coaches turning in results for any sport are reminded to use full names for all athletes. Handwriting must be legible. Photos of scorebooks must be in focus and well lit. Records should be included. Results for high school and college events must be turned in that day by 9:30 p.m., barring extenuating circumstances (overtime, late start, etc.). All other events must be turned in by 8 p.m. Results can be turned in via E-mail at sports@advertiser-tribune.com, fax at (419) 447-3274, telephone at (419) 448-3250 or in the drop box by the paper’s front door at 320 Nelson St. Results must be turned in the day of the event. Depending on time constraints, games and events turned in which do not include full names or are turned in late may not have recaps written about them. Results which are unreadable will not be included in the paper.

GOLF: The New Riegel Athletic Boosters will hold the Teresa Kessler Scholarship Big Cup scramble Sept. 9 at Fostoria Country Club. The event tees off at 9 a.m. All holes will have eight-inch cups except for the par 3s. Baumann Chevrolet-Buick-GMC of Tiffin will sponsor the par-3 hole-in-one contests. Cost is $200 per four-person team, which includes golf, cart, lunch, skins and hole-in-one contests. The deadline to enter is Sept. 2. To enter, call (419) 934-0227 or (419) 310-0553.

n Ron Bowlin and Ray Trautman lead the Old Fort Ex-Hi Over 50 League with 87 points, each with two weeks to go. Prize winners were Kevin Kramer (longest putt No. 3) and Trautman (closest second shot No. 6 and closest to pin No. 9).

n The team of Bob Barchus, Bob Grothus, Paul E. Fey and Dutch Edeburn tied the team of Dick Best, Gene Sherer, Norm Blymyer, Raplh Kizer and Ken Zeop and the team of Dave Combs, Jim Heyman, Brian Krauss and Fred Flechter at plus 1 to win Monday’s Retirees League at Seneca Hills. Prize winners were Best (long putt No. 4), Dale Wiserbaker (closest to pin No. 6) and Grothus had the low gross with a 33.

n The team of Ken and Aaron Gooding lead the team of Fred Reimer and Dan Gaietto by a ½ point in the Thursday Night K of C League at Clinton Heights. The teams of John and Tony Arend, Rusty and Tony Latona and Mike and Dave Porter wons skins. Prize winners were Louie Brickner (closest to pin No. 11), Tom Traunero (long putt No. 15), Mike Porter (closest to pin No. 16) and Aaron Gooding (closest to pin No. 17).

GIRLS JV TENNIS: Alyssa Lauer, Abbey Marcha, Katrice Hackenburg and Niki Hagemeyer all won a match against Fremont Ross Monday for Clyde.

BOYS VARSITY GOLF: Columbian was runner-up at the Shelby Match Play Tournament Monday. TC beat Norwalk, Shelby and then lost to Van Buren to take second. Competing was Trevor McCarthy, Andrew Branson, Griffin Bunting, Greg Gase, Brenton Brown and Collin Anway.

GIRLS JV GOLF: Breanna Brock shot a 68 and Camryn Gibson added a 76 for Columbian at Mohawk Country Club against Perkins Monday.
