RESULTS POLICY: Coaches turning in results for any sport are reminded to use full names for all athletes. Handwriting must be legible. Photos of scorebooks must be in focus and well lit. Records should be included. Results for high school and college events must be turned in that day by 9:30 p.m., barring extenuating circumstances (overtime, late start, etc.). All other events must be turned in by 8 p.m. Results can be turned in via E-mail at sports@advertiser-tribune.com, fax at (419) 447-3274, telephone at (419) 448-3250 or in the drop box by the paper’s front door at 320 Nelson St. Results must be turned in the day of the event. Depending on time constraints, games and events turned in which do not include full names or are turned in late may not have recaps written about them. Results which are unreadable will not be included in the paper.

GOLF: The team of Dick Rochester, Jim Heyman, Brian Krauss and Mike Mertes shot 7 under to win Thursday’s Retirees League at Seneca Hills. Prize winners were Bob Barchus (long putt No. 12), Ken Zeop (closest to pin No. 18 and closest in two No. 17).

YOUTH SOCCER: Tiffin Soccer Club has partnered with the Tiffin YMCA to provide fall recreational soccer for children in Seneca County ages 4-11. The season runs from Sept. 11 to Oct. 28. * Tiffin University men’s soccer will host a free youth camp for grades 1-5 Sunday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Paradiso practice fields.

BASKETBALL: The Best of the Best Basketball Fall League runs Sept. 9 to Oct. 7. The league features fourth grade through high school divisions. All games will be played on Sunday evenings around Seneca County and local schools will benefit from the proceeds. There will be a guarantee of at least 10 games for each team.
