GOLF: The New Riegel Athletic Boosters will host the Teresa Kessler Big Cup scramble Sept. 9 at 9 a.m. at the Fostoria Country Club. All holes will have 8-inch cups except for par 3s. Entry fee is $200 per four-player team, which includes golf, cart, lunch and skins. Entries will be taken by calling Bob at (419) 934-0227 or Darrell (419) 310-0553 until Sept. 8. All profits will go the Teresa Kessler Scholarship Fund.

n Tiffin-Seneca United Way is hosting its 6th annual outing at Clinton Heights Sept. 8. Registration starts at 7:45 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $200 for a team, $100 for a hole sponsor and $500 for a major sponsor. The outing includes golf, cart, lunch and two drink tickets per person. There will be door prizes, hole contests, skins, mulligans and a 50/50 drawing. Larry and CJ Kisabeth, golf outing chairs are looking for major sponsors, hole sponsors, door prize sponsors and teams. n Jack Felton and John Andersons lead the final third of the Men’s Wednesday Night Catholic League at Seneca Hills with 54 points. Denny Krupp shot a 33 to win the low gross and Andy Andersons shot the low net with a 30.

n Ray Nutter came from behind to win the second session of the Phat Cake Par Tee League with 124 points, while Mike Gibson and Ken Ziebold tied for second with 117 points. Skins games went to Jason Galitza, Len Goshe and Gibson. Goshe posted the low round with a 37. Prize hole winners were Goshe (proximity shot No. 2), Tony Consolo (pin shot No. 8), Gibson (long putt No. 9 and long drive No. 7) and Ziebold (long putt No. 3 and pin shot No. 5). The third and final session starts Thursday.

HOLE-IN-ONE: Denny Krupp sunk a hole-in-one on No. 13 at Seneca Hills during play in the Men’s Catholic League, using a 7 iron from 172 yards out.

OHSAA MEETING: There will be a mandatory fall OHSAA meeting at the Columbian Auditorium Aug. 2 at 6 p.m. for Columbian and Tiffin Middle School fall athletes.

n Hopewell-Loudon will hold its OHSAA fall sports parent and athlete meeting Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the school auditeria. All athletes and parents of fall athletes in grades 7-12 are to attend.

SEASON TICKETS: Starting Monday reserved football tickets for Bellevue football will be on sale for those who were reserved ticket holders last season.Aug. 6 all remaining reserved seats will be open for sale to the general public and they will no longer be able to guarantee any seats from last season. The Redmen have six home games this season, including a possible playoff game. Reserve ticket holders will receive a complimentary Redmen window decal with the purchase of every seat. It’s $42 for adults, $35 for parents of football players, varsity cheerleaders or band members. It’s $30 for students K-12 and also $30 for senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased daily at the high school from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
