BASEBALL/SOFTBALL CAMP: Heidelberg will host a youth camp June 11-13 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for boys and girls entering grade K-8. Cost is $75 per camper and $65 for siblings (multiple campers). BASKETBALL CAMP: The Columbian boys basketball coaches will hold an overnight youth basketball camp June 1 for any boy entering grades 3-7 next school year. The camp starts at 5:30 p.m. Friday and ends Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. If interested, email for a camp form. Campers will receive a T-shirt, three meals and other prizes.

n Seneca East is to host a summer instructional camp in the Tiger Gymnasium June 11-14. The camp is for any girls entering grades 4-8 for the 2018-19 school year. Fourth to sixth grade is to meet from 10:15 a.m.-12 p.m. while seventh and eighth grade is to meet from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Forms are available on the SE website. The cost is $35 per camper and the deadline for registration is June 6.

n Hopewell-Loudon is to host its fourth annual boys’ basketball camp June 5-7 in both high school gyms. Grades 1-7 are to be from 8:30-11:30 a.m. while grades 8-12 are to be from 12-2:30 p.m. The cost is $30 for grades 1-7. Grades 8-12 has no charge (check summer schedules). PARENT MEETING: Upper Sandusky is to host its fall sports meeting for parents July 23 at 7 p.m. in the gym. Parents of all fall sport athletes (excluding golf) are expected to attend. There is to be a general meeting beginning at 7 followed by individual sport meetings. The golf meeting is to be July 31 at 7 p.m. in USHS room 502. CY YOUNG FEST: Reservations are being taken for the Cy Young Days Festival luncheon featuring the 1985 award winner Dwight “Doc” Gooden. The New York Mets star pitcher is to speak at the luncheon, sign autographs, answer questions and is to be available for pictures. The event is to be held at the Laborers Local 134 Hall in Newcomerstown on June 23. The hall is also sponsoring the luncheon. Doors are to open at 11:30 a.m. while lunch begins at 12:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children under 11. ALL STAR GAME: The Senior District 9 All Star games are to be held May 29 at 7 p.m. at Sports Force Park (Cedar Point). All-star teams are separated by counties in this year’s new format. Crawford/Wyandot is to face Richland, Erie/Ottawa is to play Huron/Ashland and Seneca/Hancock is to square off against Sandusky/Wood/Lucas.
