BASEBALL: Columbian baseball will host a camp 9 a.m.-noon Dec. 22-23 for fourth through eighth graders. Cost $15 per day or $25 for both days. HOOP SHOOT: The 2018 Tiffin Elks Hoop Shoot is Saturday at Tiffin Middle School. Registration runs 11:30 a.m.-noon, followed by the contest. The contest is free and is open to children who will be between the ages of 8-13 as of April 1, 2018. Age divisions for boys and girls will be 8-9, 10-11, and 12-13. Winners qualify for the January district competition in Findlay.

GAME RESCHEDULED: Seneca East’s home boys basketball game Saturday with Ridgedale will be varsity only and start at 6 p.m.

JV GIRLS BASKETBALL: Tori Fritz scored nine points and Briley Brookes had seven in Seneca East’s 30-4 win against Ridgedale.

n Old Fort beat Genoa 30-24, getting 11 points from Aly Pence and 10 from Madison Guth.

n Buckeye Central beat Mohawk 28-18.

n Colonel Crawford beat Carey 38-28. Alaina Thiel scored eight points for Carey.

JV BOYS BASKETBALL: Lakota beat Arcadia 45-25.

FRESHMAN BOYS BASKETBALL: Four Seneca East players scored in double digits as the Tigers beat Ashland Crestview 57-34. Andrew Kalb’s 14 points led the winners, Jake Forehand tossed in 12, Brock Ferres and Turner Bridgford both netted 10 and Tristen Shenefield added six.

JUNIOR HIGH BOYS BASKETBALL: Tiffin’s seventh grade beat Sandusky 42-27 behind Logan Beaston’s 19 points and Carter Groves’ nine.

n Bryce Burns netted 20 points to lead Tiffin’s eighth grade past Sandusky 42-36. Andrew Shawberry added seven points for the Tornadoes.

JUNIOR HIGH GIRLS BASKETBALL: Seneca East’s seventh grade beat Upper Sandusky 21-18. For the Tigers, Hillary Bogner scored 14 points. Kate Siesel had six points. Kaitlyn Best and Abby Sturgill had five rebounds.

n Seneca East’s eighth grade beat Upper Sandusky 51-20. Emily Siesel scored 15 and Makenna Depinet scored 14 for the Tigers. Amelia Boes had nine points and six rebound

GIRLS JV BASKETBALL: Hopewell-Loudon topped New Riegel 27-5 Tuesday. Brook Breidenbach had six points, while Hailey Welly had four.

n Columbian’s Mia Ingalls scored 14 points in the Tornadoes’ 37-27 win over Upper Sandusky. Reagan Ward and Madison Higgins each had eight points for the Rams.
