GIRLS BASKETBALL: The East girls team beat the West 77-62 in the Fostoria Athletic Boosters All-Star Game Sunday. For the East, Old Fort’s Allison Adelsperger had 13 points, while Jada Reaves (Columbian), Alexis Feindel (Hopewell-Loudon) and Lauren Turner (Bellevue) all had 11 points. Mohawk’s Chelsey Trusty scored nine points, Old Fort’s Peyton Miller scored seven points, H-L’s Brooklyn Arbogast had five points and Old Fort’s Mackenzie Ward and Bellevue’s Jenna Strayer both ended with two points. For the West, St. Wendelin’s Caitlin Reineck poured in 16 points, while teammate Hailee Burns added eight, Fostoria’s Gabby Gregg had six, Carey’s Noel Orians chipped in five and Upper Sandusky’s Sierra Carey finished with two. Arcadia’s Haley Kieffer won the girl’s 3-point contest.
BOYS BASKETBALL: The West boys team beat the East 127-121 in overtime Sunday in the Fostoria Athletic Boosters All-Star Game. For the East, Columbian’s Ro Durham dropped in a game-high 22 points, while teammate Daniel Bupp put in 14 points. Hootie Cleveland (Old Fort) added 16 points for the East, while Alex Keller (Calvert) had 12, Trent Ardner (H-L) tallied six, teammate Gauge Sadler three and Brandon Flood (Mohawk), Seneca East (Seneca East) and Eric Bell (Old Fort) all had two. For the West, Upper Sandusky’s Eli Kinley led the way with 16 points. Garrett Summit (Carey) scored 12 points, while Jayden Stanton (Fostoria, 10 pts), Drew Schetter (St. Wendelin, 8 pts), Brody Whetsel (St. Wendelin, 7 pts), Cyle Smith (St. Wendelin, 6 pts) and Armand Cousin (Fostoria, 3 pts) also played. Cousin was the 3-point contest winner, while Durham won the dunk contest.
