BASKETBALL: Best of the Best Basketball will host skills sessions on consecutive Mondays from 5-6:30 p.m. in Tiffin. Participation in the sessions will lead to spring travel ball opportunities. Sessions will occur Jan. 8, 15 and 29 and Feb. 19 at Tiffin University Heminger Center, and Jan. 22 and Feb. 12 at Columbian High. GIRLS BASKETBALL: Destiny DeFeo scored 22 points and Sydney Kin had 17 points and 16 rebounds to lead Carey past North Baltimore 67-44. Morgan Blair added nine points for the Blue Devils (5-3).

n Bree Dowling and Addie Marshall both turned in double-doubles to lead Clyde past Sandusky Bay Conference foe Margaretta 47-32. Dowling had 14 points and 10 rebounds and Martin had 11 points and 14 boards. Heidi Marshall backed them with 14 points for the Polar Bears (9-2, 6-0 SBC).

JV GIRLS BASKETBALL: New Riegel beat St. Wendelin 20-14.

n Otsego beat Fostoria 40-20.n Cory-Rawson beat Mohawk 26-18. Hailey Miller scored eight points for Mohawk.

n Reagen Ratliff scored 10 points to lead Carey past North Baltimore 33-29.JV

SWIMMING: Parker Frombaugh won the 100 free (1:06.23) and 100 back (1:22.42) to lead Upper Sandusky’s boys in a meet with Kenton and Indian Lake. The Rams also got wins from Joey Verdugo in the 50 free (27.85), Jacob Newsome in the 100 breast (1:35.58) and the 400 free relay team of Quin Voorhees, Brody Williams, Jered Woody and Chad Walkins (5:04.92).

n Upper Sandusky’s girls claimed six races in a meet with Kenton and Indian Lake. Rose Smith, Reagan Ward, Sam Fagan and Paige Shriver took the 200 medley relay (2:37.93). Josie Smalley, Logan White, Lyla Gill and Hunter Kelbley claimed the 200 free relay (2:29.09). Jacobi Bardon, White, Fagan and Kelbley captured the 400 free relay (6:01.25). Shriver added a win in the 100 free (1:15.85), Megan Brunty won the 100 back (1:26.77) and Bardon took the 100 breast (1:39.38).

n Columbian’s Sydney Fortney captured the girls 50 free (30.31) and Corbin Hite took the boys 50 free (32.97) in a meet with Oak Harbor and Fremont St. Joe.

JUNIOR HIGH BOYS BASKETBALL: Hopewell-Loudon’s eighth grade beat Tiffin 33-28. Bryce Avalon scored 10 points for H-L and Daniel Lommerse and Luke Jameson both had five.

n Tiffin beat Hopewell-Loudon 38-28 in seventh grade play, with Bryce Burns netting 17 points and Jacob Weingart and Jacob Schling each chipping in four. Reid Jury scored 10 points for H-L and Ashton Bour and Walker Suter each had six.

n Calvert’s eighth grade beat Sandusky St. Mary 48-37. Josh Gase scored 19 points for the winners, Nick Seifert netted 17 and Jack Schultz and Quinn Ronski both had five.

n Jackson Seislove and Braeden Elchert both scored seven points to lead Calvert’s seventh grade past Sandusky St. Mary 47-13. Garrett Spaun and Max Paul each added six points for Calvert.

n Mohawk’s eighth grade beat Old Fort 63-32, led by Austin Tusing’s 19 points. Landen Snyder added 13 points for the Warriors and Mason Danner scored nine.

n Old Fort rolled past Mohawk 51-26 in seventh grade play on the strength of Garret Havens’ 15 points, Casey Clouse’s 12 and Colin Nutter’s 11.

JUNIOR HIGH GIRLS BASKETBALL: Hope Kreais scored 11 points and Bri Lander had five to lead Hopewell-Loudon’s seventh grade past Tiffin 30-11.

n Tiffin’s eighth grade edged Hopewell-Loudon 33-32. Kia Woods scored 16 points for Tiffin. MaKayla Elmore scored 17 points for H-L and Taylor Leiter tossed in 11.

n Old Fort’s seventh grade topped St. Wendelin 32-19. Kaitlynn Woodall led Old Fort with nine points, while Emily Blankenship ended with seven.
