BASKETBALL: The Carey Teen Leadership Corps (TLC) will hold the second annual Coaches vs. Cancer game Jan. 21 when Carey hosts Mohawk’s girls at 1 p.m. and Upper Sandusky’s boys at 6 p.m. TLC will sell baked goods and other items, with all proceeds benefiting the Wyandot County Relay for Life.

BASEBALL TOURNAMENT: The Youngstown Bob Cene Memorial 18U/17U Wood Bat  Tournament is registering Ohio teams at youngstownclassb.com or by calling Ken Quinn at (330) 719-0581.

n Buckeye Central High is in need of two assistant football coaches. There is a possibility of a qualified candidate being offered a coordinators position. There are no current teaching openings, but there may be at the end of the school year. Interested candidates should send a cover letter and a resume to head coach Rob Detterman at rdetterman@bcbucks.org.

GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Old Fort’s eighth grade topped Fremont St. Joe 19-6 Monday. Jordan Reineck and Kara Davidson both had five points, while Brianna Davidson ended with two.

n Old Fort’s seventh grad beat Fremont St. Joe 34-11 as Chloe Wilkinson scored 10 points and Emily Blankenship finished with nine.

BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Tiffin Middle School’s seventh grade lost to Bellevue 28-22. Carson Mellott led TMS with six points. The eighth grade also tasted defeat, 37-22.n Old Fort’s seventh grade topped Fremont St. Joe 37-22. Colin Nutter poured in 16 points for Old Fort, while Gunther Kissell added eight. The seventh grade is 5-0 this season.

JV GIRLS BASKETBALL: Old Fort topped Woodmore 30-25 as Madisyn Spencer had 11 points and Madison Guth added five for Old Fort.
