MKC in town doing preliminary courthouse work

Three representatives of MKC Associates were in Tiffin Tuesday to meet with potential tenants of the new Seneca County Courthouse.

Stealing scrap metal may be an easy way to earn a quick buck, but according to Seneca County Sheriff's Deputy Denny Wilkinson, it also can land you in jail.

"They're going in and taking things apart, or trying to load the whole thing up," Wilkinson said of the several scrap metal thefts reported recently.

OF elementary principal retires

OLD FORT - The Old Fort Schools Board of Education accepted the resignation Monday of elementary school Principal Diane Getter after 24 years and thanked her for her service.

"I really enjoyed it here at Old Fort. We have such good parents and volunteers. It's just a wonderful place to be," Getter said. "I just love the kids here.
