James W. Blackburn, 77, of Bloomdale, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
He was born Oct. 25, 1936, in Glo, Kentucky, to George and Maggie (Spears) Blackburn. He married Dorothy Holman May 5, 1956, in Fostoria, and she survives in Bloomdale.
He also is survived by a son, Stan (Robyn) Blackburn of Bloomdale; three daughters, Pat (David) King and Norma (Bryan) Barringer, both of Bloomdale, and Brenda Blackburn of Findlay; three brothers, Cotton, Richard and Otto; two sisters, Betty and Lois; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Carol; and a brother, Stanley.
His Mass of resurrection will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria. Burial will follow at St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, with a wake service beginning at 7:45 p.m.
