E. Ilene Bogner, 89, of Attica, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, at Mercy Willard Hospital.
She was born Jan. 15, 1925, in Attica, to John Charles and Mary A. (Armitage) Blair. She married Oliver Cletus "Pete" Bogner July 2, 1944, in Attica, and he preceded her in death Sept. 8, 1986.
Survivors include four sons, Robert Bogner of Mentor, Terry (Beth) Bogner of Willard and Dennis "Joe" (Denice) Bogner and David (Sheri) Bogner, both of Attica; two daughters, Susan Kay (William) Riedlinger and Christa (Jerry) Adams, both of Attica; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a niece, Marianne (Robert) Jasper of Toledo; and a nephew, John Miller of Norwalk.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, April Ilene Gurney, Sept. 17, 1997; a grandson, Jeremy Bogner; and a great-grandson, Christian.
Mrs. Bogner was a member of Union Pisgah United Methodist Church and Womans Circle, Attica Community Garden Club, Attica Community Food Pantry, Attica Historical Society, Attica American Legion Ladies Auxiliary No. 260 and the Just Neighbors Club. She also was a Girl Scout leader and camp counselor.
Mrs. Bogner worked in the kitchen of Attica Schools and Seneca East Local Schools for 27 years. She also baked wedding and all-occasion cakes for 50 years, along with working on the farm.
Her funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at Union Pisgah United Methodist Church, with Pastor Pete Bellany officiating. Burial will follow at Attica-Venice Cemetery, Attica.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday at Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville.
