Esther R. (Huth) Creeger, 95, of Tiffin, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014, at Sunrise Senior Living Center, Findlay.
Esther was born Nov. 2, 1918, in Hamilton, to the late Carl F. Sr. and Lillian (Close) Huth. She married Loren M. Creeger in Jackson, Michigan, Jan. 21, 1937, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 1994.
Survivors include her children, Edward L. (Marge) Creeger of Houston, Texas, Jeanette Stoltz of Bucyrus and Deanna M. Creeger of Findlay; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a sister, Marge Loroff of Castalia.
Esther also was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Jr., Robert and John Huth; four sisters, Thelma Crawford, Helen Baker, Lucille Morton and Kathleen Geary; and a grandson, A. George Stoltz.
Esther retired from General Electric in 1980 after 21 years of service. She spent most of her life in Tiffin but also lived in Bascom, Fostoria and North Baltimore.
Esther will be remembered as a hard worker, a wonderful cook and a great homemaker.
Her funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin. Burial will follow at Sandridge Cemetery, Bascom.
Visitation for family and friends will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
