The regular meeting of the North Central Ohio Educational Service Center Board of Governors has been changed to 1 p.m. Friday at the Tiffin office, 928 W. Market St.
Student registration starts at Columbian
New student registration for Columbian High School is 8-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
Registration is for students new to the Tiffin City School District. Students are to bring their birth certificate, immunization record, high school transcript and custody papers if available.
Class schedules are to be available for sophomores, juniors and seniors 8-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Aug. 11, 12 and 13. Freshmen are to receive their schedules at Freshmen Orientation at 9 a.m. Aug. 14 in the auditorium of the high school.
TMS new student registration to begin
Students new to the Tiffin City School district who will be in the sixth, seventh or eighth grade can register from 8-11 a.m. and noon-2:30 p.m. Aug. 7 and 8 at the middle school, 103 Shepherd Drive.
Guidance counselors are to met with the students and parents with help with any questions.
Students are to have a copy of their birth certificate, immunization records, proof of residency, a current Individual Education Plan and custody documents if available.

WSOS accepting students
Applications for children birth to four years old are being accepted at the preschool centers located in Bascom, Fostoria, Pemberville, Bowling Green, Perrysburg/Rossford, Genoa, Port Clinton, Fremont and Clyde.
Options available to parents who enroll their children at WSOS include full- and half-day classes and/or home visitation services.
Services also are available at some centers for babies and toddlers through the Early Head Start program.
Eligible families are those whose total annual income does not exceed 100 percent of the federal poverty guidelines for Early Head Start/Head Start and 200 percent for the early childhood education program.
Children with special needs are also eligible for these services.
The WSOS Early Childhood program participates in programming through the National Association for the Education of Young Children accreditation and through the state of Ohio, Step Up to Quality system.

Buckeye Central buys Chromebooks
NEW WASHINGTON - Buckeye Central Local Schools have purchased 135 Chromebooks for student use in the 2014-15 school year.
The Chromebooks are to be housed on portable carts to be shared. The carts are to be located in each wing for K-12 students.
Funding for the purchase of the carts and Chromebooks came from the technology budget for 2014-15, a one-time Medicaid billing corrections payment and higher revenue from the state foundation and income tax payments.

Calvert food policy program announced
Calvert Catholic Schools announced its 2014-15 policy for free and reduced price meals or free milk for students unable to pay the full price of meals or meals served under the national school lunch and school breakfast, after school care snack or special milk program.
The school office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by any interested party.
Application forms are to be distributed to all homes in a letter to parents or guardians. To apply, households are to fill out the application and return it to the school. Additional copies are available at the principal's office.
