Farm stand open daily
The Seeds of Hope Farm Stand on the St. Francis campus now is open daily with chemical-free beans, cabbage, zucchini, cucumbers and other produce.
Tobin concert slated Wednesday
FOSTORIA - The last "Lunch on the Lawn" concert for 2014 is noon-1 p.m. Wednesday at the Fostoria Municipal Building. Local musician Tom Tobin is to play for the free concert.
Box lunches are to be available for $5.
In case of rain, the concert will move to the Bankquet Room, 125 S. Main St.
Museum offers special programs
UPPER SANDUSKY - The Wyandot County Museum is to host a "Thursday at the Museum" series of programs at 130 S. Seventh St., Upper Sandusky.
The presentations are planned for 7 p.m. in August and September:
Thursday, "World War II London" by Bonnie Eyestone.
Aug. 21, "World War II Foods of Wyandot County."
Sept. 4, "Tools That Built Ohio" by Jim Gatchell.

Soap-making program offered
During the Art Walk, the American Civil War Museum of Ohio is to host a speaker, Teresa Smith, to give presentations at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday. Her program, "Soap Making Then and Now," includes two demonstrations of her current techniques and explanations on how soap-making has evolved since the Civil War.
The museum is to have reduced admission of $4 for adults and $2 for children. The fee includes Smith's presentation. The museum is at 217 S. Washington St.
Lawn social returns in Sycamore
SYCAMORE - The Sycamore United Church of Christ has planned its annual lawn social for 4:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday. Sandwiches, baked beans, noodles, potato salad and pies are to be served.
