Library to begin building project

BELLEVUE - Bellevue Public Library is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday for its upcoming building project.

Raffle tickets needed

BELLEVUE - The last day to turn in summer reading raffle tickets at Bellevue Public Library is July 24.

Chalk and nail art featured at T-SPL

The teen department at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host "Chalk Art and Nail Art" from 1-2:30 p.m. July 23 in the Frost Kalnow Room.

The program, which is part of the library's summer reading program, is for teens entering grades six through 12. Children are to decorate the library's sidewalks with chalk and also can decorate their nails.

Winners of the art contest are to be announced with prizes to be given.

Author to visit Bellevue library

BELLEVUE - Local author Mark Strecker is to discuss his second book, "Shanghaiing Sailors: A Maritime History of Forced Labor, 1849-1915" at 6:30 p.m. July 24 at the Bellevue Public Library.

Teens to tour straw house

The teen department at the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host "Straw Bale House Tour" 2-3:30 p.m. July 25.

A tour is to be offered of the house made of straw, a solar array and wind turbine at the St. Francis Literacy Center, at 194 St. Francis Ave.

Participants are to explore and do activities on solar and wind energy.

Registration is to be completed by July 24. Participants and parents are to complete a permission slip.

Film screening at Tiffin library

The junior department at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to feature the film "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2" at 1 p.m. July 22 in the Frost Kalnow Room.

The film is rated PG and runs 95 minutes.

Next date for Lego Saturday

The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host Lego Saturday 1-3 p.m. July 26 in the Frost Kalnow room.

July's theme is "Cook Up a Lego Food Dish."

The group is to discuss the title, "The Rosie Project" by Graeme Simsion.

The group is to discuss "Stormbreaker" by Anthony Horowitz.

Library to feature visit from K-9 unit

BELLEVUE - Officer Ty McCarley and Lasso, Bellevue Police Department's new K-9 unit, are to visit Bellevue Public Library at 6 p.m. Thursday.
