Leonard and Fern Dentinger celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with an open house Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Our Lady of Hope Social Hall, Attica, following the 4:30 p.m. Mass.
The couple was married June 21, 1949, at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, North Auburn, by the Rev. Aloysius Hoffman.
Fern, the daughter of the late Lee and Dorothy Ehresman, is a homemaker.
Leonard is the son of the late Roman and Agnes Dentinger. He is a World War II veteran and retired from the Norfolk and Southern Railroad. He also is engaged in farming.
They are the parents of six children, Marilyn (Paul) Wurm of Shelby, Bonnie (Ron) Lease of Tiffin, Mike (Gwen) Dentinger and Nancy (Chip) Hopkins, both of Bloomvile, Janice (Jim) Presler of Chatfield and Paul (Christie) of Anna. Completing their family are 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, with two more due this year.
