Johnny D. Iannantuono, 81, of Tiffin, passed away at 6:07 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.
Johnny was born Oct. 31, 1932, in Tiffin, to Donato and Bambina (Pacifico) Iannantuono. He married Velma Jean (Gibson) April 26, 1954, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and later reaffirmed their vows in 1957 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Downey officiating.
Johnny is survived by his three children, Dan (Dawn) Iannantuono and Tim (Marge) Iannantuono, both of Tiffin, and Brian (Donna) Iannantuono of Delaware; eight grandchildren, Rachel (Brad) Aurand, Lee (Karmin) Iannantuono, Angie (Steve) Reser, Britney (Terry Adkins) Iannantuono, Todd Iannantuono, Kevin (Amy) Iannantuono, Jason (Neily) Iannantuono and Eric (Joanna) Iannantuono; nine great-grandchildren, Gavin and Giada Iannantuono, Max Adkins, Landon Aurand, Kaylee and Liliana Iannantuono, Jolie and Piper Iannantuono and Avri Iannantuono; two brothers, Frank Iannantuono and Mario (Sue) Iannantuono, both of Tiffin; and a sister, Philomena Reamer of Tiffin.
Johnny was retired from American Standard after 42 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, and an honorably discharged U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War. Johnny was an audiophile and loved to play his stereo, guitar and sing.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Tony and Zachary Iannantuono; and his beloved dog, "Peaches."
There will be no visitation at this time. Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014, at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Tiffin, with the Rev. Kishore Kottana officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the United Veterans Council.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Seneca County.
