Mohawk school board to meet

SYCAMORE - The Mohawk Board of Education is to meet at 7 p.m. Monday.

Tiffin board to meet

The Tiffin City Schools Board of Education is to meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Tiffin Middle School, 103 Shepherd Drive.

NCOESC board meeting set

The regular meeting of the North Central Ohio Educational Service Center Board of Governors is at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Tiffin Office, 928 W. Market St.

BC board to meet

NEW WASHINGTON - Buckeye Central Board of Education is to meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the school, located at 938 S. Kibler St.

Open enrollment re-opened

OLD FORT - Old Fort Local Schools is to re-open open enrollment for 2014-15 school year through June 30 for grades K-9.

Applications are available online at www.oldfortschools.org or by calling the high school office at (419) 992-4291.

St. Wendelin to offer Bible school

FOSTORIA -St. Wendelin Parish is to offer vacation Bible school 9:30 a.m.-noon July 7-11.

Children are to participate in Bible stories, crafts, music, snacks and more.

Registration is $15 per child. Forms are available in the parish and online at www.stwendelin.org.

Registration being accepted

Registration has begun for the fall Office Administration program at Vanguard-Sentinel Adult and Career Center 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays, beginning Aug. 25.

Students have the option of a legal or medical administrative office or general office/bookkeeping pathway.

The program is to include training in an office setting and learning Microsoft Office 2013. The course is to be integrated with computer applications and office procedures preparing participants to perform in a variety of office environments.

Students also are to have the opportunity to participate in an office externship that allows hands-on experience in a professional setting.

The program has PELL funding for qualifying individuals. Workforce Development funding also is available.

Seating is limited.

St. Wendelin students traveled

FOSTORIA - St. Wendelin Catholic School sent senior Rebecca Berton and juniors Sarah Cockie and Casey Rife, along with teacher and chaperones, on a seven-day trip to Costa Rica to visit the volcanoes, rainforest, cloudforest and coast.

The group experienced whitewater rafting, zip lining and collecting bat samples in the Tririmbina Biological Reserve.
