Darrell D. Palmer, 75, of Fostoria, died Friday, June 27, 2014, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
He was born May 10, 1939, in Findlay, to Kenneth and Isa (Miller) Palmer. He married Mary E. Johns Dec. 26, 1959, in Fostoria.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Tina (Mike) Loman of Fostoria, Darlena (Ray) Creeger of Bascom; two sons, Brian (his friend, Randy Laney) Palmer and Michael (his friend, Aron Faeth) both of Findlay; a brother, Keith Palmer of Delaware, five grandchildren; Mitchell Palmer, Amber Kirian, Alexis, Adam and Aric Creeger; one great-grandchild, Kailee; and six stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Lloyd and Jim Palmer and Richard and Robert Snyder.
Darrell retired in 1999 as a postal carrier in Fostoria for more than 30 years. He was a life member of Fostoria United Sportsman's Club, Past President of Fostoria Eagles, a Golden Eagle member of Findlay, Past President of Sons of AMVETS and a life member of Dads of the VFW.
His funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, OH 44830 with the Rev. Paul Myers, officiating.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. At Darrell's request please dress casual.
