The ducklings rescued from the sewer drain near The Ritz Theatre Tuesday were reunited with their mother Wednesday.
The ducks had to be re-rescued from the drain Tuesday evening. Once Tiffin Fire Rescue Division saved them again, the ducklings were placed in a tub with water and shown to residents of Elmwood at The Shawhan. The residents named them and got to hold them.
The director of nursing took the ducklings home, and the mother duck had returned Wednesday morning.
"They all got reunited," said Maria Browne, director of community relations at Elmwood at The Shawhan.
The mother duck was in the river, and her ducklings were dropped off the bridge. One by one, they returned to the mother duck, Browne said.
