Roger D. Schroen, 64, of Findlay, passed away at 2:58 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Blanchard Valley Dialysis Services.

He was born Sept. 16, 1949, to Jacob and Margie (Wooley) Schroen. He married Bonnie (Evans) Schroen and they shared 37 years together.

Roger served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He was a laborer for Norfolk-Southern, where he retired after 35 years of service. He enjoyed animals, his children and spending time with his grandchildren.

Roger is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two children, Mark Schroen and Jill (Chris) Cascaden; seven grandchildren, Skyler, Logan, Jacob, Ava, Mackenzie, Katelynn and Alexa; and one brother, Marvin (Judy) Schroen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Harry Miller.

Friends and family may visit from 4-7 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2014, at Hufford Family Funeral Home, 1500 Manor Hill Road, Findlay, (419) 422-1500.

His funeral will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery with the Hancock County Veteran's Memorial Squad performing full military rites.
