Teens to share favorite writings

The teen department at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to continue its summer reading program with a Teen Open Mic Night at 6 p.m. June 25 in the Frost Kalnow Room.

The program is open to teens entering grades six through 12.

Winners of the writing contest are to be announced and teens can share their original or favorite poetry or short stories.

Junior department to screen film

The junior department at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to continue its summer reading program with a showing of the film "The Absent Minded Professor" at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Frost Kalnow Room.

The movie is rated approved and runs 92 minutes.

T-SPL to show 'Warm Bodies'

The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to show the film "Warm Bodies" at 6 p.m. June 23 in the Frost Kalnow room.

The movie is rated PG-13 and runs 98 minutes.

The program is open to teens entering grades six through 12.

Participants who dress as zombies are to be entered to win a prize.

Teens to experiment by using STEM

The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host "Tween Time: S.T.E.M. Challenges" at 6 p.m. June 26 in the Frost Kalnow room.

The program is to feature a hands-on S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) workshop.

Ronald McDonald to visit T-SPL

As part of the summer reading program, Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host "Ronald McDonad's Preschool Show" at 2 p.m. June 26 in the Frost Kalnow Room.

Ronald McDonald is to visit the library and present magic tricks, science experiments and a talking dictionary.

Library to offer yoga program

Yoga for Beginners is at 6:30 p.m. June 30 in the Frost Kalnow Room at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library.

Chuck Burmeister is to present the program. Participants are to learn about the benefits of yoga, including breath and relaxation. Burmeister also is to teach gentle poses.

Participants can bring their own mat. Mats, blankets, blocks and straps are to be provided.

Seed harvesting at Clyde library

CLYDE - Clyde Public Library is to offer a course on seed harvesting at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Gardener Angel Mitchell will go over the basics and answer questions.

Learn about gardening method

CLYDE - Clyde Public Library is to offer a program on how to grow different types of plants in different types of containers at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Janet Del Turco and Bonnie Boroff from Seneca County Master Gardeners are to present the program and are to discuss container options.

Author talk at Clyde Public Library

CLYDE - Clyde Public Library is to feature a discussion with author Nick Shamhart at 6 p.m. June 25.

Shamhart was born in Sandusky and is the author of "The Fog Within," a novel inspired by his daughter's severe autism.

The book is available at the library.

Bellevue Teen Book Club to meet

BELLEVUE - The Teen Book Club is to meet at 4 p.m. June 26 at Bellevue Public Library.

The next book to be discussed is "Heir Apparent" by Vivian Vande Velde.

BELLEVUE - Bellevue Public Library is to offer the program, "Paint a Suncatcher," 1-4 p.m. June 28 at Robert Peters Park as part of the booth activity during Community Days.
