Mary T. Burns, 83, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday evening, June 15, 2014, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.
She was born Nov. 23, 1930, in St. Stephens, to Alois and Margreta (Hoffman) Willman. She married E. Clifford Burns May 5, 1951, and he preceded her in death in 1986.
Survivors include a son, Michael (Patricia) Burns of Naples, Florida; four daughters, Kathy (Arthur) Renninger of Tiffin, Regina (Samuel) Wellman of Bloomville, Elain (Robert) Leonard of Bettsville and Teresa (Micheal) Perry of Tiffin; a brother, George (Alice) Willman of Shelby; a sister-in-law, Donna Willman of St. Stephens; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and brother, Robert Willman.
Mary graduated in 1948 from Attica High School, was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, and worked at Tiffin Glass House. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary No. 2858 and Rosary Society. Mary enjoyed playing Skip Bo, reading and gardening.
Her Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2014, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Tiffin.
Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, Stein Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
