Mary Johnson, 78, of Clyde, died Friday, June 13, 2014, at The Bellevue Hospital.
She was born April 10, 1936, in Cotulla, Texas, to Frank and Virginia (Quesada) Alafita.
She is survived by a daughter, Jennie Johnson of Clyde; a son, James "Jimmie" Johnson of Fremont; a brother, John Alafita of Clyde; two sisters, Mona Cassillas and Gloria Araguz, both of Clyde; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John Wesley Johnson Jr.; a sister, Lupe Alafita Shelnick; and three brothers, Francisco Alafita Jr., Fred Alafita and Carlos Alafita.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Foos Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Highway, Clyde.
Her funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bakertown Cemetery, Clyde.
