Indictments handed down in shooting, arson cases

Six people have been indicted by a Seneca County grand jury in connection to a May 21 shooting and burglary on East Culbertson Street and a May 26 arson on South Poplar Street in Fostoria. Seneca County Prosecutor Derek DeVine said the following people were indicted for the May 21 shooting:

Garrett Brown, 17, of Fostoria, aggravated burglary, first-degree felony, aggravated robbery, first degree felony, and aggravated murder, special felony

Tyson Ogg, 29, transient, complicity to aggravated burglary, first-degree felony, complicity to aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, and complicity to aggravated murder, special felony

Dallas Salaz, 19, of Fostoria, aggravated burglary, first-degree felony, complicity aggravated robbery, first-degree felony, and complicity to aggravated murder, special felony

DeVine said the following were indicted in connection to the South Poplar Street arson:

Shey L. Weiker, 31, of Fostoria, aggravated arson, first-degree felony, aggravated murder, special felony, murder, special felony, and attempted murder, first-degree felony

Charles V. Schaeffer, 44, of Fostoria, complicity to aggravated arson, first-degree felony, complicity to aggravated murder, first degree felony, complicity to attempted murder, first-degree felony, and complicity to murder, special felony

Timothy D. Hall, 20, of Fostoria, tampering with evidence, third-degree felony, and two counts of obstruction of justice, third-degree felony
