Richard S. Cleveland, 88, of Green Springs, died Friday, June 6, 2014, at Elmwood Healthcare Center and Specialty Hospital at the Springs, Green Springs.
He was born July 13, 1925, in Ballville Township, Sandusky County, to Orile and Elta (Hurdic) Cleveland. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1943-1946. He married Dolores June Burman Sept. 27, 1952, and she preceded him in death Nov. 24, 2004.
Surviving are a daughter, Rachelle Roscioli of Green Springs; one granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harold Cleveland; and a sister, Vivian Meyers.
His funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Green Springs United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Green Springs Cemetery with military rites provided by the Seneca County United Veterans Council.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
