FOSTORIA - A fire early Monday morning destroyed a trailer at Williams Mobile Home Park.
Warren Digby, acting fire chief of Fostoria Fire Division, said firefighters were dispatched to 800 Woodward Ave. lot 64 at 1:11 a.m. for the report of a trailer fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found a fire in the living room of the trailer. The fire also had spread to the attic space of the trailer, Digby said.
The fire was extinguished by firefighters, who were at the scene for about 2 1/2 hours, Digby said.
The single resident of the trailer was not home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported, Digby said.
According to a release from the Red Cross, the agency is providing the resident temporary shelter and assistance for food and clothing. The Red Cross also provided the resident a comfort kit of personal hygiene items.
Digby said the cause of the fire, which destroyed the trailer, remains under investigation.
